It took a year to write, then there were months of typesetting, copy editing and proofing. Then it hit the printing press. And now a long last Unlawful Contact is out!
Yes, Libby’s widget has done its job and counted out the moments, and somehow it’s April 1!
I’m so excited to finally see Marc and Sophie’s story on the shelves and to be able to share it and discuss it with all of you.
Lots is going on today in honor of the big day.
The Good, the Bad and the Unread has an interview with me posted on their site, together with the interview of Pamela Clifton that already ran here. You can read it at goodbadandunread.com. Sybil and Gwen have been running the Goldilocks blogs in tandem with my blog and have been awesome about getting them out there.
Kristie J also has an interview on her blog. Today is Part II. Go to kristiej.blogspot.com and say hello.
And at long last, I have a new Web site. It’s got much of the content it had before, but lots more, as well, including a page of Fun Stuff, a photo gallery at the bottom of my bio page, author’s notes on all my books and little tidbits and extras. It went live at 12:40 a.m. Mountain Time. And it will continue to grow, as I post more deleted scenes and fan art and fan fic and whatever comes my way.
Also, I now have a Yahoo group, and we've been having a great time discussing romance and hero sandwiches and Marc and Julian. Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PamelaClare/ to sign up and join in the chat.
Last but not least I’m having a contest. So in honor of the big release day — that’s TODAY! — I’m giving away a signed copy of the book together with samples of “Marc” and “Sophie” perfumes from Dawn Spencer Hurwitz!
To enter, go check out my new website (you can click on the link at the right) and send me a message using my new Guestbook by next Monday — that’s one week from yesterday. I’ll draw a name Monday night and post the winner here. Be sure to write “Blog contest” in the comments section.
Thanks to all of you who’ve done so much to help me get to this day! Your support means more to me than you could ever know. And to my Gangsta Bitches for those early A.M. text messages and emails — I love you!
I'll be heading out tonight to sign books in my local bookstores and to make sure they have it on the shelves.
I can't wait to hear what you all think of Marc. Speaking of hero sandwiches, who wants to be the creamy filling between Marc and Julian?
